Jewelry & Jeans: Disneyland Family Vacation 2018

Disneyland Family Vacation 2018

Friday, June 1, 2018

Nothing's sweeter than a little escape to the happiest place on earth, right? For us, our week away enjoying all things Disney and beyond was actually, just that, sweet. We spent a few days at the Grand California with the grandparents and Uncle D, Auntie Bri and our sweet niece Kylie.

If you're never been before the Grand is literally in downtown Disney and as direct access to California Adventure.  Because its a Disney hotel you also get free magic hour which means you can access the park an hour before it opens for free. Those two factors alone made it so incredibly convenient for us that we would go back a hundred times and still want to stay there but in addition, it's really nice to be able to walk quickly everywhere you want to go and head back to the room for something in just a few minutes. When we went to California Adventure we had no wait for security check and we only waited to get into the park because we were early.  Once our magic hour started us, and about 20 others got to just walk in. We were able to capture 3-4 rides back to back with absolutely NO line. It was a dream.

Colton was at the perfect age and height and has absolutely no fear so he enjoyed every rollercoaster or "scary" ride he could possibly get on.  Space mounting and the Matterhorn were a few of his favorites. It really is something beyond special to watch your kids light up when they experience something that truly excites them.

His face says it all.

Bronson was excited to try some big boy rides as well but boy was he even more excited about the characters. My normally wild boy was happy to wait in long lines if it meant a chance to hug Woody or kiss Mickey. I've never seen a bigger smile on his face.

Look at Colton's face!!

If you're looking for some cute mouse ears that you won't see every other person wearing you have to check out Metal Mouse.  She is local to Fresno, has the most killer style and her ears give you a little edge which is great especially as a mom of 2 boys!

How cool are these ears?!

We definitely didn't sell our selves short on enjoying all of the yummy goodness Disneyland has to offer.  From the funnel cakes and flavored churros to the turkey legs and beyond, we indulged in it all.  Or at least my pants felt like we did! But I have no regrets.  It's vacation after all and life is about enjoying those special little treats every now and then.

This kid can down a corndog about as good as daddy demolishes a turkey leg.

So good. Definitely recommend.

Even though this wasn't Bronson's first visit it was his first time really taking in all the sites and enjoying the experience.  He eyes lit up after every turn and it was pure magic to watch.  Plus, kuddos to him for being only 2 weeks potty trained when we went and killing that job the whole time we were there! Even in the long car rides down and back. So nice to be out of diapers even for a few months before Baby #3 comes along.

My little ham.

The fam bam.

We really did have the best time with the family. The boys don't get to see their cousin often so those special days watching them smother her were precious.  Can't wait until the next time.

XOXO,
Rema

  1. "For Children under the age of 13, I really prefer to use magnetic clasps for safety reasons.

I find that wire-wrapped necklaces are a choking hazard for younger children. People really underestimate the strength of wire-wrapped necklaces and I would really feel horrible if a child got their necklace hung onto something while playing. So I would suggest you once visit inseasonjewelry. "
