Jewelry & Jeans: Fresh faced with Julep

Fresh faced with Julep

Problem skin is something I've struggled with my whole life.  In fact, I struggle with it more now, as an adult, than I did as a teenager.  You name it and I have it.  Acne, yes. Dry skin, yes.  Oily skin, yes. Uneven texture, yes.  Dark spots, yes.  I mean, the list goes on and on and on.  I am always on the lookout for products that can help my skin.  Lately I've been trying out Julep's Love Your Bare face Hydrating Oil and Detoxifying Skin Stick.

The oil is actually used to remove makeup which was super strange to me at first.  Its lightweight and antioxidant-rich and as you rub it on it literally melts away your makeup.  You use it on dry skin and then rinse it off.  I was worried that adding oil may make my skin even more dry since your body will reduce its product of natural oils if it believes there is an excess. Surprising I haven't had that experience and what I love most is that my skin actually feels incredibly moisturized after I rinse it off.

I've been following up the Hydrating Oil with the Detoxifying Skin Stick and I really like this product.  Its super easy to use as you simply rub it all over your face and then I have been using the Julep Konjac Cleansing Sponge.  Its a natural sponge made from a Japanese plant and enriched with charcoal.  When massaged into the skin with the Skin Stick it creates a light foam and helps exfoliate dead skin cells leaving my skin feeling smoother and reducing the issues I have with texture.

When my skin feels better makeup tends to go on easier and look better overall. It doesn't hurt that Julep has some amazing makeup in addition to its cleansing products.  The cream stick eyeshadow is the easiest eyeshadow ever to apply.  I've put it in my purse and quickly dabbed it on in the evenings when I have somewhere to go and need to spruce up my look.  The built in smudger makes application foolproof.  I have been using color bronze shimmer.  I definitely plan on incorporating these products into my daily routine for the foreseeable future.
