Friday Favorites- October 21st

I seriously think I blinked and the month of October is more than half done, 2016 is nearly over and I don't even know where the time went.  I've been trying to soak up the moments more and more since things seem to be getting more hectic. I think I'm busy now but with the Holidays coming and the restaurant opening what little time I do have will soon be gone!

I have thus made an effort to start planning a few key things in advance.  Kev and Colton both have birthdays in February and it seems like I finally start recovering from the holidays when it hits me that I need to plan something STAT. I've fallen for this rose gold leather planner from Graphic Image. It has a pebbled leather exterior, gold binding, month and weekly views, plus so much more.  Like conversion charts, maps, etc.  All the things you don't know you need until your recipe calls for quarts and liters and your measuring cup is in cups and ounces. You can personalize any product which is a really nice touch for when giving as a gift.

Even though its been in the 80's here this week, the forecast does call for 70's and even some 60's so I have been stocking up on fall accessories.  I recently ordered this adorable leopard beanie and have the geometric blanket scarf pictured below.  I've paired them with some coordinating accessories that are currently in my cart, its just hard to limited them down!! 

We had a Halloween party this past weekend where they set up an out door screening of Hotel Transylvania.  The one nice thing about 80 degree weather in October is it makes for amazing nights. The kids were in a complete trance as they munched on popcorn, sipped apple juice and watched the movie under the stars. It was a lot of fun and actually kept them all quite and seated long enough for us adults to have some fun too.

Sorry the quality is so poor, it was dark and on my phone. Colton went as a firefighter and Bronson went as a Tiger.  Not pictured is his cute little hat but it was on most of the night. I got Colton's outfit at Costco and it comes with so many accessories standard.  He loves it and has worn it a dozen times already. 

I have been trying out a couple new skin care products.  I'm reserving my opinion until I have used them for a couple of weeks but I wanted to share what I've been trying out with you. Anyone else use Ole Henriksen? I've read some good things so I'm excited to see how my skin feels after using a while. The collagen booster caught my eye IMMEDIATELY. I mean, who doesn't want a little boost!
