Fringe Benefits- {3 Simple Ways to Style All White}

Friday, July 29, 2016

 I love white.  I especially love an all white look.  Its extremely versatile and can be worked a million different ways.  I originally bought this scarf in anticipation for 4th of July. The paisley print, the bright, beautiful blue color, THE FRINGE!! I mean, how could I pass it up.  Unfortunately for me, it arrived on July 5th. (Insert sound affect here Woomp Woomp!)  Regardless, I really love it for adding a flare to a simple white outfit.

Three tips for wearing an all white outfit:

  1. Wear all white and throw on a fun scarf (like I did above)
  2. Try adding a colorful shoes that you coordinate with your makeup or jewelry. Hot pink heels with a bright pink lip would be super cute and stylish for summer.
  3. Lastly, try adding a neutral blazer or cardigan and some nude pumps. Keeping your look monochromatic is not only chic its an easy look to pull off day or night.
What are your favorite ways to wear all white? Because, I need another excuse to pull out my white pieces! Ha.

My scarf is from Nordstrom but sold out so fast.  The rest of my look is linked below along with so other great additions to finish off an all white look.

Candy K- {Kylie Jenner Lip Kit Review}

I have been eyeing the Kylie Cosmetic's new lip kits for some time but each time I attempted to purchase them, they were sold out.  I finally got lucky a few weeks back and was able to get my hands on one of Kylie Jenner's favorite colors, Candy K.  I wanted to have it for a few weeks to really test it out and give you all a true and honest opinion.

I'll cut straight to the chase, I love it.  The color is super pigmented and goes on very easily.  Candy K is a deep pinky/mauve color which is bold but still neutral enough to wear often.  The lip liner is part of the kit and matches beautifully.  It is a matte and even though it goes on a little glossy at first, it quickly dries to a matte and then DOES NOT MOVE.  I'm talking kissing, eating, drinking you name it.  This lipstick is not budging.  My only criticism is that after several hours and after some eating and drinking it does start to feel dry on my lips and I need to wipe off and reapply so that there is no build up or cracking.  That doesn't bother me because I've never met a lipstick that doesn't need a fresh coat once in a while. Conclusion- Go Buy It.  Here can shop the kits or one of her other new products HERE.

Friday Favorites- July 29th

Happy Friday Everyone! Such a glorious feeling knowing that the weekend is upon us.  It has been insanely hot here. I'm talking 110+ degrees all week long.  I'm so glad we have a pool but the reality is when it is that hot I don't want to be outdoors not even in the pool. When I do go out to run errands, I try to go early. Rather than carry Bronson around the whole time I've been using my ShopBinxy baby hammock. Bronson loves it because its comfy and allows him to not only see but play while we shop.  He's much more elevated than when he's in his car seat carrier but this shopping cart hammock doesn't even take up a fraction of space.  It nicely sits above all my groceries. It snaps onto the sides of the cart in a breeze and folds up small for storage.  I can't tell you how many times I get stopped by people when we use this.  Bronson loves all the extra attention he gets! I wish I had this when Bronson was smaller because it would have saved me so much hassle, he is getting a tad too big for it now. You can shop HERE for your baby hammock, they have several great colors and styles available.

I received this item in exchange for a review however, all opinions are my own and are, as always, honest.

The Nordstrom sale has been so good this year.  There are so many great pieces at even better prices, now only if the weather would cool down enough for me to wear them all! I snagged a couple of pairs of shoes and these peep toes have been on constant rotation since arrival. The heel is high but being that it is a block heel, they are incredibly comfortable.  The neutral color goes with everything and I can wear them to work in or play in (aka mom in).  They were super marked down and the sale ends Aug 8th so don't wait to check them out. #Nsale

My particular style sold at before it even opened to the public but they have been restocking periodically so keep an eye out.  I've included several similar styles in a couple of great tones below.  I would die over any of these.

Before the heat wave really kicked off we enjoyed some fun at the Grizzles game.  This was the first game for both boys.  Colton got a kick out of watching all the action. From the pitching and batting, to the vendors selling sweet treats.  Daddy was the star of the night and caught a fly ball that Colton got to take home. I was a close second since I told Colton I'd buy him cotton candy if he tried a hotdog.  C is insanely picky and really stubborn (like his mama) so getting him to eat different foods is nearly impossible.  I wouldn't say getting him to eat a hotdog is necessarily a win but he tried a new food and that's always positive in my book.

I am a total type A personality so making lists and checking things off fills my soul! I write down lists where ever I can, notes in my phone, by my bedside table, in the car.  Sometimes I forget where I wrote my list down and need a place to combine them all.  My phone is my number one go to but there's something about actually writing something down on paper and then getting to cross it out that is so therapeutic. So, I picked up this sweet little journal at Homegoods this week.  I loved the pretty cover and gold binding. It was less than $5 and easily fits in my purse or nightstand.  Now I have one place to keep all my to-dos.  Mark that off my list.

I recently needed to pick up some kitchen goods and came across this gorgeous olive wood bowl set.  The grain on these bowls is so unique and the shape is really fun as well.  I think they would make great displace pieces even when not in use.  They are far to pretty to put away in a cabinet.

Layers of Lace

Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Summer heat calls for white hot dresses and a layered lace dress fits in perfectly. Combine a pretty white dress with pretty white lace and it makes for a stunning combination.  There are typically so many weddings, showers, parties, celebrations etc. during the summer months that call for dresses but it's hot here so it's essential you dress appropriately.  I am a sucker for lace.  This white lace and nude combination caught my attention and the bodycon fit is flattering without being too tight. I also love how the lace pattern varies throughout the dress. I can already picture several events this would work beautifully for.  Shop this look below.

Friday Favorites- July 22

Friday, July 22, 2016

Hi ya'll and happy friday.  Hope you've all had an amazing week as did we.  We spent the weekend swimming and were hosted by a sweet friend for an amazing BBQ.  She's a talented chef and dinner was amazing.  I was in charge of dessert but the pressure was too great so I copped out and picked up a berry tart.  I really have to up my cooking game.

The unusually cooler temps are a thing of the past so on Monday, with triple digits in tow, I took the boys to the splash park and met up with a good friend.  They had a blast and the best part was nap time was extra long!

With the #Nsale in full swing I was excited to start getting my orders.  I'm surprised by how many items I'm absolutely in love with! I definitely stocked up on lots of fall essentials.  I plan to do full posts but here is what I'm loving now.  The socialite top and dress are the softest cotton you've ever felt. Both skinny jeans have the distressed look that I'm loving and I'm obsessed with the over the knee boots. I can't wait to wear them with dresses and skinnies.  Is it Fall yet?

This week we also met with our Fresno Fab Female group of women. My friend Annie from The Real Housewife of Fresno had the idea to put together a group of other women who blog or participate in social media and engage and support one another.  The purpose is to help each other, uplift and share ideas, helpful hints and successes.  It's not about any one person but rather about the collective group benefiting each other. I've already met such nice, talented and smart women.  I look forward to what this group of women will do in the future.

I purchased this scarf initially for fourth of July. The blue paisley was so cute but the fringe absolutely sold me on it.  Plus, at under $20 it was too good to pass up.  I was super bummed when it didn't arrive in time but regardless, I do love it and think it would be great to wear much beyond the holiday. I bought the scarf from Nordstrom but it is currently sold out.

I'm currently crushing on all things white (see above look). Plus with so much of my time being spent working on the design of our new business venture I'm really growing to love all the design finish options that are available.  I mean, I'm ready to fully demolish and redesign my entire house! Now if only we won the lotto!  When I saw this white marble phone case from Case Taboo I couldn't resist. Case Taboo has a huge variety of case designs and sizes to fit whatever mood or device you may have and the price is very reasonable so you don't feel bad changing them every season.

I received products in exchange for this review, as always all opinions are my own.

High Low Tribal Print Dress

High Low Tribal Print Dress

High Low Tribal Print Dress

High Low Tribal Print Dress

This past week I was swamped with meetings and playdates so the week got crazy.  I normally don't wear my hair natural (aka wild, frizzy, and wavy) but sometimes there is just not enough time in the day.  That Monday I took C to the trampoline park for a playdate and snapped these pics before hand.

I am all about anything that is flowy and effortless to wear. I snagged this dress recently and was sold on the high low hem and fun tribal print.  It is super comfy and lightweight, plus black is a life saver with two boys.  Its one of those dresses that you can easily wear while with the kiddos but cute enough for lunch with the girls.  I found it at Lulu's but linked some other really cute options below all UNDER $50.
