Friday Favorites- June 24

Hello again and happy Friday. I am so excited for the weekend.  Its the first weekend in ages where we don't have anything planned AND my husband will be home.  This last month has been crazy and he has been on not one, but two, camping trips.  I'm happy to have him home to say the least.

We started off with a play date for the kids at our zoo.  We have a really amazing zoo that recently underwent a major addition creating an African Safari exhibit.  It is unlike anything I've seen, with a more realistic setting for the animals. We now have cheetahs, lions, African elephants, rhinos, and so much more. We have season passes and go all the time.  The boys love it.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of throwing a baby shower for my sweet friend Mary with some of my favorite ladies.  I wrote a whole post on it HERE along with my outfit details.  It was definitely one of the highlights of my weekend. So glad we were able to shower baby boy K with some love.

We were so lucky to have a local Donut shop custom make these adorable horseshoe donuts for us as favors for the guests.  They turned out so cute and tasted even better.  If you live in the Fresno area and haven't tried Donut Fantasy do yourself a favor and drive there now!  They make all kinds of unique donut combinations like Flamin' Cheeto and my personal favorite, maple bacon bar.  It is to die for.  You will not be disappointed.  They are all so nice and they are happy to work with you to make personalized custom creations for your special event.  You can contact them HERE.

Sunday was Father's Day and the boys are so lucky to have a fantastic daddy like Kevin. We spent the day swimming and playing followed by an easy dinner and watching game 7.  Kevin requested a no fuss day and that was fine in my book.  I recently took an impromptu photo when we were all at the park together and those are often times my favorite.  Not perfectly staged, but raw and real.  I really loved this photo and wanted to print it for K.  Artifact Uprising is an amazing place to print your photos.  The quality is superb.  The card stock is heavy and it doesn't have the reflective glow to it that some other prints can provide.  I ended up printing this photo as well as a family picture and both turned out amazing thanks to Artifact Uprising. They also have frames and photo gifts which would be terrific for anyone. 

Since the official start of summer was also this week I wanted to share one of my favorite new sunscreens.  I know this may not seem exciting but I am a stickler about wearing sunscreen on my face and this stuff is amazing.  It doesn't make me feel overly oily, it doesn't cause me to break out and it smells incredible. I definitely recommend it.  Its available everywhere from Target to Ulta.

Homegoods is one of my favorite places to shop.  Next to Target, its like Disneyland for adults. I recently hopped in looking for pillows but came out with this pretty planner.  Its a 17 month calendar/planner starting from August 2016 through 2017. Its bright watercolor and gold details are gorgeous and I need the visual reminder to help me organize everything going on.  Plus, I'm OCD and love to make lists and be able to cross them off! Plus, it was under $5 too!!
