Two Piece Romper Set

Sunday, July 30, 2017

When the weather is still hot as can be you have to rock the cutest rompers out there.  Look no further than Shein for some of the best two piece sets under $40! I thought the graphic print was a nice change to traditional prints.  The tie front top is completely adjustable and the bottoms have an elastic band along the back for a comfortable fit.

The Sweetest Pink Gingham Dress

Friday, July 28, 2017

I love a good pattern and the gingham pattern on this dress is too sweet.  It's a soft pink color and has a free easy cut making it really comfortable. I love the cutout detail that is modest but still playful along the middle.  The off the shoulder addition makes this dress stand out as something unique but I will be honest, it is also a bit restricting.  It you're looking for a dress to wear to a wedding with lots of dancing, I would recommend you skip it. You won't be able to move your arms sufficiently. However, if you're looking for something nice to wear to date night or a bridal shower then this would be a great option.

Best Art Walls in LA || Great NSale Outfits

Monday, July 24, 2017

Art walls have become more and more popular and LA has some of the bests.  From known and unknown artists with single installations to signature styles. If you're looking for edgier but fun walls to snap a picture in front of look no farther.  Living in CA makes it pretty easy to shoot down to LA for a fun girls trip and just last week I made one of those trips. Not only did I do some shopping, sightseeing and celebrity sightings, I hit up some fun walls. Starting off with this magical wall that just went up this past week in Venice.

Summer Favorites- Beauty Edition

Wednesday, July 19, 2017

I've been trying out several new products over the last 4 weeks and thought I'd share what I'm trying and my thoughts so far, both good and bad. So I've rounded up a couple of my June beauty favorites for all of you.

Instagram Round Up- June Edition

Sunday, July 16, 2017

Rounding up a bunch of my favorite looks from IG over the last month.  If you didn't see a post or didn't have time to shop now is the time. There are so many great sales going on!!

OUTFIT DETAILS: Top / Jeans / Shoes / Bracelet / Bag

I snagged this one shoulder blouse and the prettiest bracelet both for 40% off! The top comes in three stripe colors, and just came out in a hot pink that I LOVE! Wear this out to drinks and bites with a couple of my girl friends.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Jumpsuit / Shoes / Bag

I've been on a major jumpsuit kick as of late.  This one fit like a glove so I couldn't pass it up and now it comes in two different prints.  The other being floral. I added a pop of color to make it more playful. Red would be a perfect addition too.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Dress / Belt / Shoes / Bag

I've been the biggest fan of Victoria Beckhams for a while now and couldn't wait until her collection with Target (one of my favorite stores) came out.  I picked up a couple of things but this pretty dress was a definite fav! You can see my full blog post on it HERE.

This embroidered maxi dress screams summer. And how amazing are those poppies? When we saw these Kevin and I knew it would be a pretty backdrop.  Less than a week later and they were already gone! Spring is short here, summer is HOT. Best thing about this look is Lauren Conrad reposted my post.  Pretty neat, right! You can see it HERE.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Top / Jeans / Shoes / Bag

These muted tones and palm tree prints are perfect for summer.  I have this top in three different colors. It is so light and perfect for hot days.  Plus, the ruffled peplum bottom is a stylish touch.  I'm wearing the heck out of my Chloe dupe crossbody too.  It's such a good dupe and these slides are on repeat!

OUTFIT DETAILS: Dress / Boots / Bracelet

I wore this blush dress to a fundraiser for PINC that I am a member of.  It was a western theme so of course, I had to pull out my favorite cowboy boots.  I bought these after I went to Dallas a few years back and have already gotten so much wear out of them. They are more of an investment but I would completely recommend them.  Everyone needs a pair of boots in their lives!

OUTFIT DETAILS: Bodysuit / Skirt / Shoes / Bag / Sunglasses

This is one of my favorite looks from last month.  It's a little bit edgy, a little bit boho.  I think it has a chic but not overdone look to it. I can see dressing the skirt up and down with so many different options.

Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Gingham and Stripes- The Perfect Combo

Wednesday, July 12, 2017

Top / Pants- similar here / Shoes / Bag

I'm over here just packing my little heart out. Running around like a chicken with its head cut off doing all the last minute STUFF that traveling entails.  I need a vacation from the packing portion of my not-yet-taken vacation.  Is that ridiculous or what?!

I had to share my favorite top of the summer thus far.  First of all, how cute is it?!! I'm a sucker for stripes and a sucker for gingham.  Put the two together and I almost died! I'm very happy with the quality and the fit of this top too. I thought initially I could have sized down (I'm wearing a M) but now, after wearing it several times, I'm glad I didn't.  It has more of a relaxed fit and looks good tucked in or out.  The stripe portion of the top is a heavier, stretchy material which I really like.  The gingham sleeves are a non-stretch stiffer material which helps give them their perfect ruffle shape.  I wore it with cut offs and dressed it up with a more business casual look. Both equally as great. You can shop this top HERE and guess what? It's only $13! Yup, you're welcome.

Happy Friday, guys!

Palm Tree Prints || Hawaii Hopes

Tuesday, July 11, 2017

This week we have a wedding of a good friend in Hawaii so we have left the boys at home and headed to Maui.  I could not be more excited. Kevin and I haven't had a vacation in years and what better place to go than Hawaii.  In my head I'll read 10 good books while relaxing by the pool drinking Mai Tai's, hike up awesome mountains, swim in waterfalls, shop, wake up late.... you get the picture.  Then I remembered I'm not moving there, just visiting and there are only so many hours in the day. Not to mention we do have a wedding and wedding festivities to attend to.  I'd call it a win if I do even one of those things.

I definitely had to pack this look but I'll be subbing in cut-offs in lieu of pants.  The palm print on this shirt is just too cute and I love that it is in pastel tones rather than the traditional colors. I own this shirt in 3 different colors. It is incredibly lightweight and has a sweet ruffled hem.  Perfect for that tropical weather.  Goes great with my Chloe dupe bag and these great slides I just picked up! These shoes come in two colors but I really like the unexpected tone of the blue rather than a safe nude.  They have a sweet scallop detail along the front straps and a block heel, making them comfortable to wear for long periods.

Hope you are all having a fantastic week!

Flowy Floral Tunics || Jewelry & Jeans

Monday, July 3, 2017

I went out last week to take photos at 9 am and it was already in the 90's.  I was sweating like crazy. Imagine trying to do outfit changes when your clothes are stuck to you! The things we go through just to get some blog photos! Lucky for me I have a friend who's willing to melt out there with me. Haha.

Too bad the entire week has been in the triple digits and there was no sign of relief.  We had plans for thursday night outdoors but they cancelled it as a result of the heat.  Of course a little heat wasn't going to stop me from have a fun night out. Well, it turns out an epic night out lead to the unfortunate realization that I am OLD.  After a couple of  several drinks we went out dancing. It was country night and we showed off our line dancing skills (or lack thereof!) It was just minutes before we were going to leave and I'm dancing, bent knees and all, when next thing I know I hear a pop and my legs freeze in a semi squat position.  I recover, gracefully of course, stand up and think I'm fine.  By the time we make it home I'm already limping but not really feeling any pain thanks to Dr. Vodka. Long story short, I didn't hurt my ACL or MCL, the Dr believed it was just a 1st degree ligament tear and I'm supposed to recover in 4-6, 2-3 if I do a blood plasma shot.  I'm leaning towards the shot even though it's supposed to be incredibly painful. Anyone else had this kind of a shot before?

In other news, this tunic from Pink Blush is super lightweight and breezy which has proven beneficial with the hot temps. I adore all of the details, the ruffle sleeves, crochet accents and high low hem. The floral pattern is so pretty. I wore it last weekend with cut offs and love the flowy, oversize nature in connection with short shorts.  I've had several great piece from Pink Blush in the past, both while pregnant and not.  All their clothes work while pregnant and when not but that does mean they do tend to run large. Don't let that deter you though because for certain styles the loose fit is adorable.  And I can't seem to get enough of this blush crossbody bag, can we say love!
