The Reason For the Season {+ Sharing Our Christmas Card}

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is so easy to get caught up in the hussle bussle of the holidays. The presents, the parties, the decorations etc. etc. But when I stop and look at these family pictures it reminds me that none of it really matters.  It's fun, yes. But the whole purpose is to celebrate Jesus and be thankful we have a God that loves us enough to bring his only child into the world and sacrifice him for us. This year I am beyond thankful for this family of mine and the blessings we have been undeservingly given.  I love that we were able to capture this moment in time and cherish this season forever.

Isaiah 9:6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

This captures the personality of Bronson so well.

Such a cheeser!

That smile melts me!

I get so much enjoyment out of dressing up and dressing up the boys.  On a normal day we do not look this put together or clean. We are usually in our play clothes and rolling around in who knows what.  But for one day one hour, the boys willingly (bribery was involved) wore the most handsome little outfits for our family photos. I could just die over the sweet smiles that were captured. I must admit, I relished the opportunity to get all glam since that rarely ever occurs.

I went into this session knowing it was very unlikely that we would get a shoot or multiple with all of us looking and smiling.  I was totally ok with that.  I'm not a head swap/photoshop kind of gal and actually like the authenticity of a real family photo.  Of course, I want everyone to have a joyful look but it doesn't have to be perfection because who are we kidding, perfection isn't attainable.  I just wanted to capture us as a family and I believe we did. How do those of you with kids get your little ones to cooperate?

Love how our Christmas cards turned out this year.  We love using Shutterfly for our Christmas cards. They have so many options, including glitter cards this year!  I really like the foil stamped cards because the details pop and add a luxe feel to any card.  We used the Shimmering Frosted Flurries card this year which you can find HERE. They offer dozens of different options at every price point but, they currently have a sale going on for 50% off all cards with code:OHJOY. Don't wait because the sale ends December 11th!
