Jewelry & Jeans: Friday Favorites- August 5

Friday Favorites- August 5

Who is ready for the freaking weekend? Me!!! Kevin has been MIA for the past week because of a trial in Bakersfield.  So glad that is now over and we have our favorite guy back.  In the interim we have been busy chugging along with sweet treats, birthday celebrations and more.

I am sharing my favorite new skinny jeans.  I'm loving these ripped skinnies. Not only are they perfectly distressed but they have the hem unwound and frayed on the end and I think it's a fun touch.  Definitely something different.

The boys were so good on Friday that I treated them to a special breakfast of our favorite donuts from Donut Fantasy. I can never turn down their maple bacon and their cronuts are to die for! Extra work outs for me.

I have been eying some over the knee boots since last year.  I never pulled the trigger because I was pregnant and didn't want to buy a pair that could have not fit after.  So, when I spotted these over $100 off I didn't hesitate at all.  The brown color is a true middle brown.  The fabric is suede and there is piping along the ankle area that gives just the right about of detailing.  These hit right above the knee and I do wish they were a touch higher but the width is great for a narrow calf and leg. Click the shoe below to shop it.

Saturday was Papa's birthday so Colton wanted to surprise him and make some blueberry "cupcakes" and that's exactly what we did.  Colton woke up and we got straight to work.  He helped me every step of the way including filling the cupcake holders.  (tip- use an ice cream scoop with a push level). We drove out to the ranch and parked on a row until Papa came around on the tractor.  Colton rode tractor for a bit

I was shopping once again at my favorite weekly stop and picked up a great fall tote.  The tassel closure is what sold me.  This bag is pretty large and has a pocket and zipper inside.  I love the variegated coloring and braiding detail. Plus at less than $40 its very affordable. It definitely has enough room to keep all my mommy must-haves.

  1. I'm not one to wear camo too often (traumatized from growing up with intense hunters in the family & I dubbed it never to be fashionable) but I love those camo flats!!
