Friday Favorites- July 29th

Happy Friday Everyone! Such a glorious feeling knowing that the weekend is upon us.  It has been insanely hot here. I'm talking 110+ degrees all week long.  I'm so glad we have a pool but the reality is when it is that hot I don't want to be outdoors not even in the pool. When I do go out to run errands, I try to go early. Rather than carry Bronson around the whole time I've been using my ShopBinxy baby hammock. Bronson loves it because its comfy and allows him to not only see but play while we shop.  He's much more elevated than when he's in his car seat carrier but this shopping cart hammock doesn't even take up a fraction of space.  It nicely sits above all my groceries. It snaps onto the sides of the cart in a breeze and folds up small for storage.  I can't tell you how many times I get stopped by people when we use this.  Bronson loves all the extra attention he gets! I wish I had this when Bronson was smaller because it would have saved me so much hassle, he is getting a tad too big for it now. The Nordstrom sale has been so good this year.  There are so many great pieces at even better prices, now only if the weather would cool down enough for me to wear them all! I snagged a couple of pairs of shoes and these peep toes have been on constant rotation since arrival. The heel is high but being that it is a block heel, they are incredibly comfortable.  The neutral color goes with everything and I can wear them to work in or play in (aka mom in).  They were super marked down and the sale ends Aug 8th so don't wait to check them out. #Nsale

My particular style sold at before it even opened to the public but they have been restocking periodically so keep an eye out.  I've included several similar styles in a couple of great tones below.  I would die over any of these.

Before the heat wave really kicked off we enjoyed some fun at the Grizzles game.  This was the first game for both boys.  Colton got a kick out of watching all the action. From the pitching and batting, to the vendors selling sweet treats.  Daddy was the star of the night and caught a fly ball that Colton got to take home. I was a close second since I told Colton I'd buy him cotton candy if he tried a hotdog.  C is insanely picky and really stubborn (like his mama) so getting him to eat different foods is nearly impossible.  I wouldn't say getting him to eat a hotdog is necessarily a win but he tried a new food and that's always positive in my book.

I am a total type A personality so making lists and checking things off fills my soul! I write down lists where ever I can, notes in my phone, by my bedside table, in the car.  Sometimes I forget where I wrote my list down and need a place to combine them all.  My phone is my number one go to but there's something about actually writing something down on paper and then getting to cross it out that is so therapeutic. So, I picked up this sweet little journal at Homegoods this week.  I loved the pretty cover and gold binding. It was less than $5 and easily fits in my purse or nightstand.  Now I have one place to keep all my to-dos.  Mark that off my list. 

I recently needed to pick up some kitchen goods and came across this gorgeous olive wood bowl set.  The grain on these bowls is so unique and the shape is really fun as well.  I think they would make great displace pieces even when not in use.  They are far to pretty to put away in a cabinet.
