Friday Favorites- July 1-July7

How is June already gone? How has half of 2016 already passed me by??  I am not even ready for this. My to-do list continues to grow and I feel like I rarely even cross anything off these days. I was so hoping that a three day weekend would be the answer and i'd actually get a little done.....HA, who was I kidding.  I joyfully wasted three glorious days with my husband and kids eating far too much chips and guac, lounging by the pool for hours, binge watching who knows what (good show recommendations welcome) and letting the kids stay up way past bedtime because life is short and this season of life is even shorter!

The past weeks have been pretty low key but I still have a few favorites to share of course!

First up, GOT. If you are not a Game of Thrones fan we seriously need to talk.  This show is epic.  The budget alone is more than it costs to send a space ship to Mars! Crazy, right?  The show is nothing I would normally be attracted to but the writing, the casting and the overall plots is just incredible.  Unfortunately, the season is over. (insert heavy weeping) The season finale was on Sunday and it was wonderful as always.  I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't seen it yet but please, do your self a favor.  Spend this weekend getting addicted. You'll thank me later.

Some girl friends and I took the kiddos to Skywalk, a trampoline place, for some much needed energy exertion.  Not sure who was more tired afterwards but we all had fun none the less.  I consider one of my two boys smiling and happy for the camera a total success!!!

We had a nice 4th spent with family eating and swimming.  There were a few water gun wars, lots of swimming and even a nap! A perfect little day ended by sparklers and a few fireworks.  Both boys loved the fireworks and were in total awe! I of course had a blast dressing red, white and blue all week!

I recently scored big when I was able to get my hands on one of Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits.  I got Candy K which is a matte mauve color and I love it.  The color is pretty and super pigmented.  It shipped fast and comes with a lip liner. I'm hoping to do a full review soon.

Last but not least, I have to include one of the most exciting thing from the last two weeks.  I finally hit a 1000 followers on Instagram.  I know that may not seem very important but it was a goal and I am proud I hit it.  In less than 9 months I've learned a lot. Growing this blog and social media has been challenging and fun at the same time.  Little goals are important to keep perspective and celebrating the little victories make it all worth while.  I did a whole post with a few tips HERE.
