The 5 Best Red Lipsticks

Nothing is quite as impactful as a great red lip and these 5 lipsticks do not disappoint. I've compiled my favorites all in one spot and there is a shade and a price point perfect for everyone.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills in Carina.  This lipstick is truly matte and has great staying power. The color is beautifully pigmented and goes on easy.

2. YSL in Bright Red.  While this is the most expensive of the five, it is worth every penny. The texture and feel of this lipstick is amazing.  It won't dry out your lips and is intensely pigmented with gorgeous color.

3. Mac in Ruby Woo.  This one has a cult like following and I totally get why.  The color is flattering on so many, it stays on the lip for hours and at only $17 it's very reasonablely priced. The coordinating lip pencils are also reasonable and necessary so there is no bleeding of the color.

4. Nars in Vip Red. This lipstick is a deeper red shade and is of my tried and true, all time favorites. The matte color stays put without drying out the lip and has a wonderful silky texture.

5. Revlon Colorburst in Adore.  These lip stains come in at just under $7. They glide one smooth and transfer a good amount of color to the lip.  They don't last as long as the others but reapplying isn't really a big deal to me.  I do find I need to moisturize a little before hand so my lips don't looked dried out after a couple hours.  All in all still a great buy for the price.
