Sequins and Things

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Everywhere I look this season I find sequins.  These pretty little details add such a touch of glamour.  Perfect for NYE or holiday party.  This blouse and tulle skirt definitely put me in the party spirit.

Christmas Spirit

Friday, December 25, 2015

Nothing screams Christmas like festive jammies. I love to break out the Christmas pjs starting in October. These flannel ones from Victoria's Secret are just perfect. Soft, warm and just a touch of gold sparkle. I love everything about them. They offer about ten different colors and styles. The added bonus is select styles are on major sale right now so if you didn't get exactly what you were hoping for this year, you're in luck.

Velvet Chic

Monday, December 14, 2015

Last year I felt like I lived in dresses but this year I've been gravitating to skirts. Nothing screams holiday chic like velvet.  Its such a plush, sleek fabric.  The riche color of this pleated skirt is great for a night out or party. I like mixing dressy pieces with more casual pieces, like this plaid button down, to make a look that is not only more wearable but a touch unexpected.

Duster Cardigan

Wednesday, December 9, 2015

I love easy to wear items that I can throw on quickly.  This marbled duster cardigan is super comfy and a nice change to the everyday cardigan.  I wore it with my leopard heels for a pattern punch but know I will be rocking boots with it all winter long.

All Dressed Up

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

I don't know about you but, with it now being December, our social calendar is crazy busy with holiday parties and events.  Planning out some great dressed up looks is a must.  I typically lean towards grabbing a dress but that doesn't always need to be the case.  This coated black skirt is a wonderful holiday piece that can be dressed up or down.  I have paired it with a basic striped shirt and a statement necklace. I think it looks just perfect for a Christmas party.

Winter Uniform

Monday, November 30, 2015

Who else is excited for the dropping temps? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE warm weather but I definitely appreciate the different seasons. Some of my favorite cooler weather styles include long knits, velvet and winter white jeans.  I'm loving the subtle hints of metallic in this sweater and the tribal design is a fun, unexpected touch.  What are your go to winter styles this season?

Winter beauty essentials

Thursday, November 19, 2015

With temperatures dropping the chilly air  and wind can reek havoc on my skin and hair. To combat dry skin and frizzy hair I try to be proactive. It is so much easier to maintain healthy skin and hair than it is to fix dry or chapped skin or hair. To to ensure I take care of both I've linked some of my must have, go to, products. Not only are these essential but they are affordable and easy to find at Nordstrom or Sephora. What are you winter beauty essentials?
